T-shirt love? What is this?

This blog is a spin off of my original blog helmet of mambrino. I am starting this new blog to record my daily efforts to change my lifestyle and become significantly healthier. Currently, I am overweight, exhausted, and usually moody. So much of this is attributable to bad–really bad–choices I make. So, I am committing to replace those choices with good choices. Here are the bacic principles that will guide my decision-making:

  • Eat a pesca-vegetarian diet
  • Eat at least five fruits and/or veggies a day
  • Drink at least 64 oz. of water a day
  • Avoid fast food like the plague
  • Exercise at least thirty minutes a day
  • Work my way back into running daily

That’s it. Pretty simple, no? But that doesn’t answer the main question. Let me give it a shot.

I love T-shirts. Unfortunately, as mt body has gained in thickness, it occurs to me that I increasingly look like a large piece of lumpy toffee whenever I put on a T-shirt. Factor into that equation that I am having to order 2XL or larger T-shirts when we get promo ones at work and it occurs to me that I need to get to a place where I am comfortable wearing a T-shirt and not embarrassed when someone asks me for my t-shirt size.  Thus, the silly name for a serious blog.

Further, as an incentive to maintain these changes, I am asking folks to send me T-shirts in L or XL instead of gifts when occasions for suh present themselves.  These will function as a tangible reminder to me as to why I need to make these changes.

So, there you have it.

  • The lifestyle changes sound great to me. I am right behind on those. I need to get back in shape. I would have to add to mine NO SUGAR SNACKS! Good luck! XO
